           Department of Political Science, Dunguriapli College(Degree),Dunguripali offers 3 years degree course in Traditional System i.e. +3 Pass & Honours and CBCS ( Choiced Based Credit System) . The Department has permanent government concurrence and  permanent affiliation with Sambalpur University (Jyoti Vihar) , Burla ,Odisha. In the undergraduate level it has enrollment strength of 16 nos. of seats in +3 3rd year and 32 seats in 1st & 3rd Semester classes. Likewise, it has 128 seats in each of the pass classes.

One faculty has completed research performance . he has some exposure with social problems and research . He has also have research experience on Vedic astrology and vastu.

 

v  WEAKNESS:-

Low level  interest  of some student specially in the subject in English medium.

 

v   OPPORTUNITY:-

In todays globalized world our subject is very much important. Today every human problem needs proper understanding and knowledge on political culture, constitution and democracy is very much essential. We need to educate the students accordingly.

  

v   CHALLENGES:-

The comprehension skill of the students is declining. Innovative ideas need to be explored to communicate the subject. So that the student will find their own problems in the subject and they will be motivated to study Political science.

 

                 FUTURE PLANS:-

 

          To organise inter departmental seminar.

          To organise mock parliaments.

          To take the student on study tour to the state assembly  and Indian Parliament.
